How to search your web browsing history in Safari

Sometimes you want to go back to the web page you read yesterday– or was it two weeks ago? Here’s the easy way to do it.

1. Go to the History menu and choose “Show History.” You’ll get something like this:

Notice the search box at bottom right.

Note: on newer versions of Safari, the search box is at top right.

I was looking for the story of the fellow who lost his iPhone somewhere in the USA and ended up making friends with the guy who was using the stolen phone– in China!

As you can see, searching for “stolen iPhone china friend” produced 3 matches. I was able to figure out which article was the right one after that.
